Host Jeff Medders meets with Vance Pitman, Trevin Wax, and Joel Muddamalle to discuss the eternal impact of confronting culture with truth and love, as seen in Titus 1:10-2:1. Discover how you can grow as a public theologian and apologist in your community as you discern and address the differences between sound teaching and false teaching, wrong teaching, and different teaching.

Jeff Medders serves as the Director of Theology and Content for Send Network. He is also an author, a preacher, and a PhD student of biblical spirituality at Southern Seminary, studying Charles Spurgeon and the Song of Songs.

Vance Pitman is the President of Send Network and was the founding pastor of Hope Church Las Vegas. Vance is an author and speaker who seeks to inspire people to join in God’s mission of making disciples and multiplying churches.

Trevin Wax is the Vice President of Resources and Marketing at the North American Mission Board and a visiting professor at Cedarville University. He is the author of multiple books, including The Thrill of OrthodoxyThe Multi-Directional LeaderRethink Your SelfThis Is Our Time, and Gospel-Centered Teaching.

Joel Muddamalle is the Director of Theology and Research for Proverbs 31 Ministries and is on the preaching team at Transformation Church. He earned his PhD in Theology with an emphasis on Paul’s household language in Ephesians as it relates to the Old Testament.

Trevin Wax

Trevin Wax is Vice President of Resources and Marketing at the North American Mission Board and a visiting professor at Cedarville University. A former missionary to Romania, Trevin is a regular columnist at The Gospel Coalition and has contributed to The Washington Post, Religion News Service, World, and Christianity Today. He has taught courses on mission and ministry at Wheaton College and has lectured on Christianity and culture at Oxford University. He is a founding editor of The Gospel Project, has served as publisher for the Christian Standard Bible, and is the author of multiple books, including The Thrill of Orthodoxy, The Multi-Directional Leader, Rethink Your Self, This Is Our Time, and Gospel Centered Teaching. His podcast is Reconstructing Faith. He and his wife, Corina, have three children.

Joel Muddamalle holds a Phd in theology and serves as the director of theology and research at Proverbs 31 Ministries. He is a co host of the Therapy & Theology podcast with Lysa TerKeurst and licensed counselor Jim Cress.

Joel serves on the preaching team at Transformation Church in Indian Land, SC and is a frequent speaker for conferences and events. He just released his first book, “The Hidden Peace: Finding True Security, Strength, and Confidence Through Humility. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Joel and his wife enjoy a full house with their four children and two dogs. If he doesn’t have a theology book in hand, you can be sure he’s coaching one of his kids in a sport, or doing his best to keep up his hoops game on the basketball court.
