Sergio Guardia

Sergio Guardia is the catalyst for Hispanic leadership of the SBC of Virginia. His role is to empower Spanish-speaking and English-speaking churches to mobilize churches in missions and outreach. He has been with SBCV since 2011, planning and coordinating Spanish conferences and local workshops for the churches, its leaders and members. Prior to this role, Sergio served as pastor of the Spanish campus of Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. He remains one of the Thomas Road pastors, developing multicultural ministries. Sergio was born in Alexandria but grew up in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. He studied business administration at Private University of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, working later at Word of Life Argentina for three years. He lives in Lynchburg with his wife, Laura, and three children: Isabella, Daniela and Sergio Natán.
